[IMG] Ok, I've never played 3rd edition before and my dog chewed up my game manual. :flamming:
If I remember correctly, in 3rd edition rules, your armor class gets higher with as you wear armor, correct?
So how come when I put on full plate mail armor, my ac goes down? I just noticed this when I was usind the console trying different armors experimenting with stuff. It says it has an armor bonus of +10, but my AC drops.
Could someone explain the 3rd ed. AC rules to me?
    Thanks!

Yes, AC goes up with better armour. If it went down for you, you most likely got some armour out of the console that was not intended for gameplay, and could have its properties screwed up.

maybe this is because your DEX is very high so your previous lighter armor gives higher DEX bonus and your heavy plate gives lower plate bonus. my fighter is better off wearing Chain of Drakkas then a heavy plate +2

I just realized that I never downloaded and installed the patch, could this be the cause of any problems?

This could happen if it's a monk with high wisdom ac bonus and high dex ac bonus.

Otherwise, you'll get weird result if the game is paused while you change armor, weapons, etc.. Unpause the game and change the armor again to see the real effect.
