[IMG] Can you get the robe of Apprentice without killing Larz thus not getting Morul as a potion brewer (because he gets pissed of when you kill his friend)

It's given to you when you own the Sphere, so you must be a mage. Otherwise you can't get it a friendly way (and do you really need it?)

go for the dagger and the easiest scroll,
thats all, otherwise they'll die and you will lose exp, you can only be succesfull if all 3 of them are alive.

[IMG] Well, I think it is not fair. How come you, the master wizard, the instructor, cannot make all those powerful items but the apprentices can?! All of them can even survive making an abi-dalzim's horrid wilting scroll! How I wish I could write some scrolls myself or make a few rings of wizardry.

Hey I hadn't thought about it before but maybe this was a deliberate ploy by the programmers to increase realism. ;) After all, there were lots of things I learned to do at school, college, etc but I'm buggered if I can remember how to do them now despite all my formal qualifications. :)

PS before everyone jumps in to point out I'm wrong - I'm joking :) I actually agree that it is a shame you can't make your own stuff (although it would have to cost time and money and be diffciult or it would unbalance the game)

Hey, i would not mind spending some money and time to make some of those awesome lvl 9 spells. I would even waste a month or year to make a ring of wizardry that can double, say your lvl 7 spells. :)
