Any way to Shadowkeeper away weapon restrictions?

Be nice if my dwarf fighter/cleric could use a blasted axe.

 

just equip him with one, youll have to use shadowkeeper to equip it again if you remove it though

 

Download Gopher's Item making Guide here from Sorcerer's Place, if you don't know how to Use IEEP from TeamBG.
Then make your own axe : ).
Or modify the normal axes to let clerics use them.

 

Here is a better way than makeing an entire new axe:

• Download IEEP, WinBiff, IExplorer, and VB6pkg from TeamBG's website
• Once all programs have been downloaded and installed, open IExplorer and find the item code for whatever axe you want to use and write the code down
• Then open WinBiff, load the file "CHITIN.KEY". Then scroll down the list of .biffs to the left. (For an axe for ToB the items.biff will be towards the top of the list/SoA items.biff will be towards the end)
• Click on the correct items.biff and find the item code I told you to write down. Extract it to a place you can find it.
• Open IEEP. Chose "Item Maker" Then open the item file where ever you put it.
• Then once the item file is open and one the screen, click on the "Usability" button.
• All you need to do here, is choose all the classes/kits/races you want the axe to be able to be usable by.
• Now, save the edited item with a different name in to the override folder...make the item name 8 characters or less.
• Now start the game and use the CULAConsole to get the new item in to the game.

There...hope that helps. When I started item makeing, I was lost in the dark...even with the tutorial's help.

 

Maybe you can find a way to give him the thief's 'Use any item' ability...

Well...first, to find out where you are, just press "x". That will give you the area code (ARXXXX) and the x/y cordinetes. To go to a new area, type in CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("ARXXXX")

I'd save it as the same name. That way, whenever the item drops in the game, you can automatically use it.

 

That's what I'm here for.

@Rastor: Yes, that would work, but what if...for some reason, he didn't want every droped item like that to be changed? I like to give all the items I make a prefix. Every item that I make begins with the letter "K". - Just a thought
