    Has anybody ever found a use for the ancient battered armour you find in the Vale Tombs? Apart from selling it to Conlan for 200gp that is. Is there a Smith who can fix it up somewhere?

    I sold it almost immediately to, I think, the blacksmith, for a pretty decent chunk of change (decent for 3rd level or so characters). Or maybe it was the temple. I think it's just a historical-type relic, the remnants of a fallen hero of note, not something of actual use.
