    I'm new at this, so could someone help me?

    What is the file name in which you need to add the item? In both BG1 and BG2...

    I really wanted that Ring of Wizardy from BG1 (with the doubling of level 1 spells). If I copy the item file from BG1 and give it a new name, then place it in BG2, will it work?

    ring08 (it's file name in BG1) is taken by the other Ring of Wizardy in BG2.
