We live in a world full of violence and I’m pretty sick of it. I have been playing some cosy, casual games of late, but do yearn for some good stories.

I saw the article on the frontpage about a combat-free, isometric RPG. Any other RPG titles out there that offer a good story and where you don’t need combat to progress?

I know if you try you can play Fallout as a pacifist, but that’s not really the same is it?

    I found this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/rpg/commen...me_rpgs_with_no_combat_or_violence/?rdt=37224

Quite different to find games without fights/ violence at all in this genre I guess. Something has to happen in stories to make it interesting and in RPG's it's often fights. If it's not fights, it might be losses, struggles, romances or break ups etcetera, you can find more stories based on that in other genres.

RPGs tend to be about fighting, however "adventure" or "interactive fiction" games are often non-violent.
I haven't played a lot of them lately, but classic games like the Sierra King's Quest series or the Infocom games were largely non-violent.
Perhaps you can try searching for "Adventure" or "Interactive story"/"interactive fiction" instead.
