Another weird glitch...

[IMG] This one is freaky. Sometimes when I'm in the moathouse sleep-safe room (which I'm sort of using as my party's personal free country estate),a weird glitch develops which keeps my 'drop item' icon up on the screen after I close my character's inventory. The 'drop item' actually stays on the screen, it doesn't matter if I change maps, the little icon follows me. It stays in the exact position on the screen it would be in, if the character's inventory was open. But whichever unfortunate character was the one who's screen was open at the time has no drop item icon on their inventory screen. I have to close the game to get rid of it.

Also, I'm getting the 'Phantom Weapon" phenom. I noticed this happening when I cleaned out the crew in the broken tower room. When my rogue went up the stairs to loot the archer's bodies, 2 pairs of chainmail gloves just appeared out of nowhere on the screen to the left of her head. When I went down stairs, they changed into longswords. when I went through the secret door and out by the burned farmhouse, they turned into maces...

I was able to lose these though, by changing maps. Not like the ever present 'drop item' icon. When that happens, that's it, the stupid thing doesn't resolve.
My game is somewhat patched. I downloaded the official one. I tried to get the Circle of Eight mod, but had trouble with the zip file, so all I have is this one patch. Even just that one really improved the game, but all of a sudden I get this snarky, bogus glitch.

What's up with this, has anyone else heard of this happening or had this problem? I hate it and it sucks. It's really slowing down progress on my game, and only developed recently. As in today. Bleah. :(

I had similar problems. Even saving and rebooting doesn't get rid of it. The Co8 did wonders for me, but did not solve all problems. Currently I have the ogre/hill giant?(forgot his name) in my party. He has a block on my screen to identify items. Although it blocks 1/4 of my screen, I am leaving it for now, since he seems to do it for free. Strange bug.

Wow, that's pretty weird. I'm encountering some strange bugs since I reached the temple, and they aren't all carrion crawlers.
