    I won't be doing this quest, as I can't stand Anomen; he is far too smug for my liking. However, from reading a guide to the game, it says that Bylanna tells you that nothing can be done against the person who commited the murder. Why exactly is that ? The guide doesn't go into the specifics, and I'm curious to know why it is nothing can be done. Is it because the person who did it is in a position of power ?

    There is not enough evidence to convict anyone of the murder.

    The answers of who killed her and why depend on your advice to Anomen. The writing for this particular quest was very good (albeit very frustrating for some). You were faced with a dilemma of doing this quest with a lawful approach (involving the authorities) or chaotic approach (revenge) -- the outcome determines whether Anomen passes his test for knighthood (lawful - pass, chaotic - fail).

    The frustrating part is whever choice you make -- it's the wrong one. Lawful, there is not enough evidence to convict. Chaotic, it was just a botched robbery and Anomen killed the wrong man.

    The next part of Anomen's quest involves his wonderful, loving father....
