[IMG] I've had enough of the constant abuse Anomen gets. Somebody tell me why he is cosidered so bad. He gets all the cleric spells, given the dex. gauntlets he can wield warhammers (crom) or flails (of ages). His arrogance is amusing, especially when he harps on about taking up trivial quests only to be told off by Keldorn. I've yet to play the evil cleric Viconia but I don't see how she will be SO much better than Anomen.

Anomen is a great addition to a party it is just that snotty voice that makes me want to strangle him. If he ever strikes up a conversation with me he dies :D .

Parvini, I never said that Anomen is lowsy.
That can say only those who hate his looks or voice and never tried to lead the guy more than one minute. Is it prejudice or jelaousy? Or both? :D

About Viconia I'm probably saying the same thing for the 1001st time. She's a bit poor NPC at the beginning. But since she's evil cleric, undead that attack you will join on your side if you use her Turn Undead ability (no CTRL+Q needed). Also try her with Crom Faeyr! :D

Not understand how Viconia can be that much better than Anomen????

First of all DAAAMMNNN! she is Hot!

    When I look at her...

Alright, I'm kidding-mostly, cuz she is just a computer game character. She isn't real...

Regardless, she is a very strong character-the Turn Undead: Control undead is very powerful, especially for grabbing some quick cannon fodder in some of the more undead infested areas, like the Graveyard District, and Umar Hills.

Much of what I'm posting has already been addressed in this Forum.

Viconia outweighs Anomen in several ways. Viconia gets a few more bonus spells, her Dexterity allows better AC as well as better Missle attack bonuses for that Sling of Everand or Avoreen. But another powerful natural ability of hers is her 65% Magic Resistance. Compliment that with a Necklace of Magic Resistance and the Evil Human Flesh Armor and you're pumping her up to 90% to 95% Magic Resistance.

She also is a pure Cleric so she can Max out at the highest Cleric level and highest Cleric spells. And for those who wish to control undead rather than 'turn them into dust', She is the only NPC option for this.

With an item that gives strength she can be very impressive on top of her other unique benefits.

hmmm i think it also has to do with your alignment, i personally use amoen cause i am Chaotic good. I dont want to lose those rep points..lol

I also think his cleric spells come in handy. And a little poetry and romance never hurt any gal i guess. Also i am a female character and am not allowed to romance Minsc :(

[IMG] I personally prefer Anomen over Viconia. While Aerie is so cute, and jaheira is so shy when romancing, Viconia is an agressive wildcat in love(just like a drow female should be). I don't like to converse with her. She is a damn good cleric with 65% magic resistance, but she has so few HP-s and so weak attacks. :( But Anomen, excepted his annoying arrogance is a real tank(cause he is also a fighter lvl 7). Right said, I like using him in my party, though I don't like him! :D
