    [​IMG] Something long-requested and rejected for one reason or another. Until it made sense to implement it, and I had a person I could rely on to make it work for SP (kudos to catbert!). Download counters for all the files on SP!

    Primarily used in the Games subsections on SP ( http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/index.php ), every single SP-hosted file now goes through a counter, which will keep track of total file downloads, as well as monthly counts. Especially for those of you who have submitted content to SP, I'm sure this will be a very useful feature so you can see how much exposure your submission is getting.

    As an added bonus, this also gives everyone the ability to link to any specific file download on SP properly, without hotlinking the download. I think the rest of it is pretty self-explanatory, but if anyone has any questions, please ask here.

    Tal, in Firefox I have it setup to automatically download files and .zip is a filetype it recognises. So when I click on the download link I get a Save Option where it asks me where to save the webpage.
    I have to open the download page in another tab via right-click and then download. This wouldn't happen if the page name would not end in the filename (.zip) I guess.
    Can that be fixed?

    Well, it could be, but not without changing all the links again and modifying the whole system, which I'm afraid isn't going to happen.
