    Go inside the slavers ship in the slums, and then kill every slaver and afterwards search their bodies. There is a map that can take you to where Amber was taken. LoL oh boy, all i will say is search very well in and outside the building you find, because you need a certain item to continue. :D

    I got though alright, but I don't really recall a certain item. Am I missing something?

    Well you need a wardstone to get upstairs, ones you are inside the building.

    That woman you talked to outside has it. After you defeat her, she will ask you to help her save her sons soul. She will give you the stone needed to get upstairs. If you killed her without even being able to talk to her(I did that ones, although i wasn't looking to do so. :) ) she should have that ward stone on her body.
