I am curious to see if other players still play in Greyhawk. I find it pretty cool myself, it's much much less heavy magic and less good than FR.

I find it to be quite good myself. So I am the only one?

I'm vaguely familiar with it, but never played in it.

Nice, It's fun to see other player who enjoy a setting less filled with magic and goody people. I mean Iuz rules what? Almost the entire north? Except the Ice and Snow Barbarian one. That make about 1/3 of the flaneas (I am not sure about the spelling).

I can't see that in FR, 1/3 of the realms being ruled by a 1/2 demon.

I've a quick question to fellow player:
I'm not too sure about that Twin catastrophe thingy that happened a long time ago, it is related to the, Two community whose name I Forgot, who immigrated to the continent and some sort of war isn't?

Also: In which years do you play? Myself as the DM I play the world in CA 600 ( I always liked round number)

One of my favorite bits for Greyhawk has always been the Scarlett Brotherhood. I've got the 2e supplement for them, and it was simply deliciously evil.

No, unfortunately. I got this back when they were still selling 2nd edition products... right at the very end, when they brought Greyhawk out for a little bit. I imagine it's nearly impossible to find, these days.

If you want to track it down, it's called "The Scarlett Brotherhood", by Sean Reynolds (which is interesting, because I can't stand most of what he puts out). It's ISBN is 0786913746.

I' m not really up to scratch with the history of Greyhawk unfortunately.

My characters are based in Onnwal so I only real play the Onnwal regional modules, meta regional modules and the core modules

Its great fighting the Scarlet brotherhood :) Damned monks!

If you can find the Scarlett Brotherhood expansion, get it. It's a 2nd edition book, so the "crunch" is a bit less useful (though you can get some neat ideas from their bredthralls... slave races who are mostly human, but seem to have lemur, dwarf, or minotaur traits), but the organizational information is great... organizations within the Brotherhood, how different deities are worshipped, conflicts, rules of engagement for operatives.

Amazon lists 16 of them, used and new, available. E-Bay has it available from one of their merchants for $10 (though I imagine SP would prefer you use Amazon, since it goes into their pockets, that way).

The first campaign I ever played was Greyhawk, but I became interested in D&D because of Baldurs Gate... So when I became familiar with the 3rd edition rules I bought The forgotten realms campaign setting, and have played FR since that day... But I use elements from the Greyhawk setting like The great wheel which is, as I recall, a Greyhawk thing... I don't like the new stuff about the outer planes they've made for the FR setting...
