I'm currently planning to develop an all-multiclassed party, and am curious to hear ideas on the topic.

I am planning on keeping the party to five at the max, in order to reach the level cap.

The characters I am planning to include are:

Elven Fighter-Mage, most likely dual-wielding Angurvadal and Foebane.

Halfling Fighter-Thief, using the Short Sword of Mask and the Short Bow of Gesen.

    Half-elf Fighter-Druid, using Ixil's Spike.

And here is where I am undecided. Should I use a half-elf Ranger-Cleric? Or should I promote diversity and use a half-orc or a dwarven Fighter-Cleric? Regardless of class, the character will almost invariably be using the Flail of the Ages or the Runehammer.

Is four enough? Or should I add a gnomish Cleric-Illusionist for more magical punch? Please, enlighten me with your thoughts.

Take the H/E ranger/cleric with you. It rocks :D About the gnome, I don't know but I'd go with an elven mage/cleric...

A valid point, and one I am choosing to use.

My half-orc cleric has been replaced with the half-elf ranger/cleric. In addition, I have added a half-elven cleric/mage.

    Interesting note.

A ranger/cleric may not get three star in dual wield. A fighter/cleric may.

And Aerie is the only possible elven cleric/mage, PC characters cannot be so.

you can have a half elf cleric / mage which are pretty cool at higher levels and can use the rune hammer, etc.

forget i said that ..... i really should learn to read posts more carefully. oh well

    Ah... to update the adventures.

Well, we now have an almost full party. I have four PCs and Jaheira. The main character, the F/M, is dual-wielding Blade of Roses and Stonefire. No armor as of yet, though, depending on Spirit Armor and Stoneskin. The R/C is dual-wielding the Defender of Easthaven and The Sleeper, and wearing some variation of full plate mail. Jaheira is using the Spear of Kundane, and full plate mail. The F/T is dual-wielding a katana +1 and a short sword +1... with Armor of Deep Night +4. Good combination, at least until I have shadow leather. However, she hasn't made a successful backstab yet. Perhaps an oversight on my part, but does dual-wielding stop you from backstabbing? It would seem probable. I will test with one weapon to see. And, finally, the C/M is using the Sling of Seeking with a Girdle of Hill Giant Strength. Fairly brutal. Still in Chapter 2, with plenty of quests to go. All seems to be going well. Mencar's group was devastated. The magic is exceptionally well-suited to making my fighters exceptional at fighting. Nearly all of them have some sort of skin on them, or are constantly hiding in shadows. I can't wait until my druidish spellcasters get Iron Skins.

In reflecting upon this group, when they get their HLAs, they will be absolutely unstoppable. Four greater whirlwinds, three storms of vengeance? Timestop, followed by an assault from Angurvadal and the Axe of the Unyielding? Nearly every single member can summon creatures of horrific power. Granted, that's a ways away... but it's still frightening.
