[IMG] I am in dire search for some kind of patch or cheat that allows a gnome to be a jester - or any other race to get any other class. Does anyone of you know some?
    Thanks!

    Thanks!

Shadowkeeper will let you assign an otherwise-illegal class to a single-class, multi-class or dual-class character (eg. you could make a ranger/cleric a gnome). You can also use it to assign one (and only one) kit to an otherwise-legal multi-class, or to assign a kit to the second class of a dual-class. But it can't be used to create an illegal multi-class character such as a ranger/thief or druid/mage.

But I tried, with SK, to assign the powers of Inquisitor Kit to my cleric mage, but nothing! Why?

I understand... is there any editor you know, like any that is used in making mods, with wich I can create new kits to be added to BG2?

The easiest way to achieve what you are trying to do would be to create a human blade and then use Shadow keeper to change the race to a Gnome. Changing the class will only affect changes that occur from the point that you changed on. It will not edit everything to what it should be.

If you're interested in making new kits then I'd recommend CamDawg's tutorial series, which begins here: http://forums.gibberlings3.net/index.php?showtopic=584

You'll need some .SPL and WeiDU knowledge, though.

And yes, unfortunately it is not possible to 'unlock' the different race/class combinations neatly; you have to use an editing tool. And illegal multiclass combinations will crash the game, too.

I wish I could create a dual class Monk/Mage. Think of how power these two class combination would be once the Monk achieves their Magic Resistance special ability and than dual class to a wizard. Talk about a one, two, punch, magic missile attack.

@Silver Knight: Go download the sorcerers place collection and install the arcane fist kit. It effectively simulates a monk/mage. :)

But what about the monk/thief that would be fun to me but I don't know of anything like it?

Also if you use SK go to the innate list you will see a "kit" tab. Press it and it will ask you what kit you want and from what level to what level you want abilities from.

All the kit tab will do is apply the innates. The other kit abilities will not be applied.
