[IMG] I recently just finished SoA and I then loaded my game to ToB. I am playing as a paladin and of course my alignment is Lawful Good. Now here is my problem, in my character record it states his alignment as Neutral Evil. I have done nothing to change his alignment and he is not a Fallen Paladin and retains all his paladin abilties. I've opened my game in Shadow Keeper and it says my char's alignment is Lawful Good.

Does anyone know of bug in the game for this or a way to fix my problem.

    Thanks, Halasz

There could be a simple answer here: you took an evil path during the Hell Trials, didn't you? This will turn your alignment to Neutral Evil. I believe it is Baldurdash that corrects the process so that you fall as well.

I did this a while back and ended up with a Neutral Evil Paladin who got hurt by his own Holy Smite.

I check my final save in SoA right before fighting Jon and my char was still Lawful Good...

Perhaps the final tear that triggered Jon was the one which you took the evil path on. You'd still be Good right up until you inserted it and triggered the final battle.

If you read this guide, you'll find out that the author had the same problem like you. Looks like some kind of bug, that happens for no obvious reason.

Actually, after reading it, I believe that he did what Halasz did and took and evil path without realising it. The give-away is that when he turned undead in ToB, he charmed them- which is the result of an evil Turn Undead. As this happened throughout ToB, the change must have occured about the cross-over point, which is most likely during the Hell Trials. It isn't a bug- just people not realising what they've done.

Could be that to, some of those test are pretty vague, when it comes to deciding which is the right path. Fear test is easily one of those. I mean, who could tell that choosing to accept a cloak from a demon would corrupt a soul to that extent? Even if it is a cloak made out of skins :p

Halasz, it would help if you told us what decisions you made during your Hell trials.

ROFL! man oh man. You went evil on the one that you would have been done faster if you'd have chosen the good path.

Don't you just love those exhausted points where you push on anyway?
