Adless SP Subscription - Your Board Ad Preferences?

    Remove all ads!
    [​IMG] For those would get the adless SP subscription (which would extend to the boards as well) - would you prefer to keep the banner ads while on the boards (and remove just the pop-ups), or remove the banner and pop-up ads altogether?

    I'm asking this because as we did it currently, any type of adless access you pick on SP removes all pop-ups and banners on the boards.

    So I'm wondering if anyone would prefer to be able to choose between killing just the pop-ups OR pop-ups and banners, or if everyone would default to killing all ads altogether.

    So:

    1.) I would want to get rid of all ads (banners and pop-ups) on the boards no matter what my preferences for adless access on SP were.

    or

    2.) I would like to be able to choose between just removing the pop-ups on the boards and removing both banners and pop-ups. (This option would be for those who would want to keep just the banners, as I don't imagine anyone would want to keep pop-ups.)

    I only mind the pop-ups. Actually I prefer the banners around the site (as long as they dont grow larger than what they are). :)
    Call me an odd-ball, but it keep me in touch with new product releases and then they add a bit of colour to otherwise blueish theme.

    My thinking exactly... I'm testing the totally adless layout everywhere now and it simply feels... empty. So I thought I'd run this by people here.

    I don't consciously notice the banners all that much, but I'd probably miss them if they were gone.

    My reason is the same as Rally's, I think Sorcerer's would seem empty without them.

    [​IMG] I'd pay to see the pop ups gone sure. I don't really have a problem with the Banners, but I'd pay for them as well, it doesn't really matter. But I guess having a choice is good.

    Going with the theme, here.

    Banners make it seem like home - they are like posters on the wall, while popups are the nosy and obnoxious neighbors you wish would move far, far away.

    OK, unfortunately the option to pick will not be an option (heh). However, based on the input here, I have decided that those who will be logged in as SP supporters will get the pop-ups killed, but banners will still display. But in the future when SP will switch to a php board we'll probably be able to add the choice.
