Ad weirdness

    Remove all ads!
    When I was browsing BoM this morning, I noticed it was taking extra, extra long to load the pages. I waited for a few minutes for a page to completely load, and one of the ads had the message of Server error or something like that.

    I haven't seen it since, but I was concerned that it might be something serious. Anyone else getting ad messages similar to mine? I don't know what ad it was, sorry. :(

    I got one similar message this morning also. However I can't remember what it said, and since it was before my daily dose of cafeine I didn't really give it full attention I merely reloaded the page.

    I often have that happen to me. One or the othe ad refuses to load and I get the loading... sign. Ijust go to the next page.

    You'll usually get Internal Server Error notices when the server is overloaded for one reason or another and doesn't properly finish executing the pages. It could be due to any number of things, from some intensive processes running on the server (like arching large amounts of data) to search engine indexing or attacks on the server. Whatever it is, it usually clears up after a while (with or without my help), so it's not a big issue, though it certainly is annoying.

    If you do notice anything our of the ordinary, however, please post it here, PM or e-mail me about it so that I can check it out if I'm not aware of it already.

    I believe the inqwire pop-ups are extremely aggressive and have caused my computer to stall. There is another pop-up that is for spyware that puts up a second 'warning' popup that is misleading.

    Such advertising shouldn't be showing, and I've been telling people since forever to report it to me so that I can get it removed. If there's a problem with an ad, please PM me with details of what happens where, and I'll get it removed if it shouldn't be happening.

    I just got the spyware pop up again, it's from:

    c5zedo.com

    It gives two pop ups. One is an advertisement, the second is a warning that you may have spyware on your computer using a window similar to the warnings you get from windows.
