Is the celestal fury the best kantana there is, or is there something better? Does it's +3 hurt you a lot (since it isn't +5) later in ToB?

I was wondering which weapon proficiency I should put in when I create a fighter type character.....

[IMG] It's Katana by the way, not Kantana.
I wont's spoil it for you, but Celestial Fury isn't the best Katana there is, but it's pretty good.

    Basically, there are better ones.

Yeah if you only look how much damage it does, yes there are better katanas.

As for special effects CF remains the best.
And besides it looks great when hiting :D

I suggest you to put at least one point in Katana, but i really suggest using bastard sword,in ToB there are many many (and good) bastard swords. If you want Celestial Fury to be +5 you can download a Weidu mod(forgot its name but i got it downloaded). And i don't agree that there are other better Katanas than Celestial Fury,IMO the best is Celestial Fury. It's stunning ability is very good,if i were you i wouldn't care about 2 extra damage.

The biggest issue with CF in TOB (whether or not you mod it up to +5) is that it carries a saving throw against the stun. By the time you're going through TOB (at least in my experience), the enemies you needed to stun laughed at you as they saved every time. (Stunning some stupid orc doesn't count.) To contrast this, the flail of ages carries no saving throw for its slow ability, it's just a percentage of time that you connect. Much more effective in TOB.
