When I last played BG2 a couple years ago I know I ran across a mod that lets you migrate your hard earned items from BG1 into BG2. While this may cause some to cry "Cheesy!" or "Cheat!" it only makes sense to me since it seems like your nice loot should be somewhere in Jon's lair.

I've been scouring Sorcerers for the mod to do this but can't find it. Can anyone tell me what it's called or provide a link?

Well, most people just use the pause exploit* since it makes them feel like they "earned" it through their fast fingers, but there's also a standalone mod that takes care of it.

*If you pause a new game while the screen is still black, before you scream, all your equipment will still be on your character. You can then go into the inventory and drop everything on the ground to pick it up later.

If you use the "pause exploit" you might have to push "H" or "U" on your keypad to bring up the interface to get into your inventory.

Thanks a lot! I had visited the page it was on but my eyes must have glazed over on that one. I was feeling frustrated as I've been doing a lot of dls today and can't find everything I remembered reading about. And it was on Sorcerers afterall! D'oh!

Storywise, keeping your stuff doesn't make sense. You're a pisoner, Irenicus would take all your stuff.

BTW, you'll find better crap in no time, unless you picked up Balduran's Cloak in BG1, that thing is awesome!

I wasn't thinking of having the gear on me. I was thinking more along the lines of it being somewhere within Irenicus' abode. Maybe where the pantaloons are if you played BG1, for example.

If you carry the pantaloons into BG2, they're in that room directly to the north of where you start the game (where the golem is). They're actually behind the picture on the wall.

    There's a mod done by Ronin69hof, it's found here

I usually use it if I imagine I played through BG1. There are some items wich still lacks, like algernons cloack & the root of the problem.

    Regards
