    1. It appears to me that the Attribute bonuses that come from the Red Dragon Disciple are treated as a modification and not an actual change in the base attribute level. This seem important because it looks like NWN still caps the ammount of modification that can be made to an attribute...used to be 10, now looks like it's 13. Anyone else encounter this?

    2. I know that a Wizard who specializes in a certain school will have a "boost" given to spells cast that belong to that school...but what about scrolls read (found, not scribed) that are from spells that are from a specialist school?

    3. Does the Fighter specific Weapon Specialization and Epic Weapon Specialization stack on top of the Class proficiencies of the Weapon Master?

    4. Anyone have some comments on how the "Use Magic Device" skill works?

    That's about all for now.

    Thanks.

    3. Weapon Specialization and Epic adds the damage after everything else, so yes, it stacks.

    Thanks for that bit. To further clarify my question about "Use Magic Device", it appears to me that for a modest outlay of skill points you can use every spell scroll in the game...even ones based on Level 9 Wizard and Sorcerer spells. Am I wrong in this assumption?

    Oh, and one other thing I thought of...please define "Vorpal".

    1. I know the RDD bonuses don't count toward the 12 cap.

    4. Use Magic Device is fantastico. I believe that the cost of the items plays a roll in how many skill points are needed to use it. Currently, I have a rogue/fighter/blackguard with 10 in UMD and he uses... I believe 5th level spells or below (I haven't encountered anything in SOU yet I can't use). This is great for buffing spells, disabling spells for sneak attack (ultravision + darkness etc.)

    Vorpal = Reflex save VS. Vorpal DC or death.

    @Laches.

    SO you mean the UMD is a skill worth getting in NWN? I remember that it was utter garbage in IWD2 so I have been avoiding it. Am I mistaken? (Even badly?)

    It was my impression that UMD was a very effective skill also. I just didn't know if I was missing some critical element. I would say it is worth taking if you have some skill points to burn. Of course, it is restricted to only the Rogue and the Bard...but many people take a few levels of Rogue simply for the abundance of skill points and Class skills.

    Picture a Rogue sneaking into a room and casting Timestop, then proceding to do 3 rounds of 10d6 damage per round sneak attack (plus whatever else damage they muster from equipment and abilities) :D

    And yes, I did check it out...the RDD abilities are true changes in your base level, not modifications.
