    From the extra space made by sligthly raising and inflating the longest side of the lower triangle upwards. It's a trick. If they were drawn properly and not with a fat outline to make it easier to mask the trick, there wouldn't be that space there.

    Ignore the red triangle? Sad little idiot that I am I needed the similarity between the triangles to notice the trick - after calculating all the areas....
