[IMG] Due to repeated unemployment, I've been stuck with an old computer for several years. I was planning to upgrade when I got laid off. As such, I haven't been able to play the newest games. I'm thinking of getting a computer with the 64-bit version of Vista. Will I have any problems playing the Neverwinter Nights series, or the KOTR series or do I need to go with the one that comes with 32-bit Vista?

NWN2 works fine, I have not tested any others. Maybe I can find some time to go through them all. I believe they should all work though. You should have a look around the relevant Bioware and Obsidian forums.

What shall I say? I am disappointed with Vista 64bit for gaming so far. For me (Mass Effect,) NWN2 and Kotor and Kotor2 did decidedly not run well, if at all, under Vista 64bit.

They do, however, run flawless under XP. Which suggests to me that (a) Vista 64bit is picky about hardware and drivers in particular and/or (b) that DirectX10 is not perfectly downwards compatible. If you want to game and want to go for 4GB RAM anyway, then I'd suggest to stay with Vista 32bit - and if you can live without DirectX 10 stick with XP for the time being.
