After quite the break, I fired up the game again and I just finished Battlesquares level 2, but I'm not sure who to give this potion to.

These are the characters I'm doubting between:
    - Aasimar Paladin 14Dex, 12Wis.
    - Shield Dwarf Battleguard of Tempus, 10Dex, 20Wis.

Having the ability of the Paladin casting lvl 3 Cleric spells would be nice, but I'm wondering what the exact advantage would be if I handed it to the dwarf. Bonus spells, is that it?

I could also hand the potion over to my ranger (18Dex, 14Wis) however, I don't find the ranger spells particularly usefull right now (Rangerlevel 10) so I'm not sure wether that would be wise or not, because the dex is needed for archery. (I can boost it with items, but still)

    :help:

Give it to the Battleguard. They can always use more Wisdom.

Paladin will not be a wise choice as well as ranger if you will not continue HoF with these characters.
Because by the end of normal, your party average will be around 16 and your paladin and ranger will be able to cast 4th level spells (if they are singleclass). You will find a ring (Tyrannar's Band)near end game which will give you both +2 WIS and +2 CHA. Good for a paladin :)
Also your ranger can use +WIS items (such as Incandescent Blue Ioun Stone-amulet +2 WIS) to improve stats.
Your battleguard however, will benefit much more of it. You can get a few bonus spells and +1 DC for your offensive spells which are not much already. You don't want them to be spoiled, do you?

    HINT:
You can use +DEX items to cover the loss of 1 modifier.
