Child's Play is a charity that raises money to buy entertainment for children in hospitals worldwide. Computer games, books, toys and movies to the value of $1,024,400.31 will very soon be winging their way to sick and injured children thanks to a fantastic fundraising effort over the seasonal holidays. Here's a clip from Shack News to give you the idea:

Recently, Penny Arcade held its annual Child's Play auction dinner, which featured lots such as an appearance in a Penny Arcade strip for $10,000; a voiceover line in Bungie's Halo 3 (X360) for $9,000; a Wii signed by Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, which sold for $3,700; an Xbox 360 signed by Microsoft Entertainment and Devices corporate VP J Allard, which sold for $1,200; and a tour of Penny Arcade's studios, which sold for $2,700. Auction sales reached $210,000 in total.

This year's total donations of over $1 million set a record for Child's Play fundraising, currently in its fourth year of operation.
