Quick Q ... Edwin + Keldorn

If I have both Edwin and Keldorn in the party, I suspect one of 'em will end up killing the other ... just looking for confirmation on this.

 

Although there may be resentment, I have never heard of them turning on each other. So don't worry about that.

Just try to maintain an average reputation so nobody leaves if you don't want them too.

Yeah, I don't think that will be a problem, though Keldorn sometimes leaves if you have Viconia.

Fast and somewhat wrong responses.

Keldorn WILL attack Edwin. Keldorn also will ATTACK Viconia if she is in the party with him.

This happens later in the game depending how much time Keldorn was in the party.
And it is not avoidable, unless you kick Keldorn or one of those two out of party for good.

When the fight starts, both NPCs leave the party and you can recruit back only NPC who survives the battle. The dead NPC is not possible to get back.

But, as always, there is a cure. A cure is that nice spell called Maze. Your job is to get in your inventory at least one scroll with Maze spell or two if all three (Keldorn, Edwin and Viccy) are in the party.

Anyway, when the fight starts, you just cast Maze on one of NPCs. I won't describe the reasons why this works, but you have to recruit the "visible" NPC back in party and then remove him away from visible range of mazed NPC. When Mazed NPC "returns", you will be able to recruit him/her too!

The fight won't happen again.

Be aware that Viconia is resistent on Maze spell. I'm not sure for Edwin. Just cast it on that pallie sucker.

Errrrrr, that reminded me, what do you need Keldorn for? C'mon, he is the worst NPC available in the game.

Well, I just like to have a meatshield with 50% magic resistance (Carsomyr), a damn good (and fast) dispel magic, as well as the true seeing around ...

When I completed with my last party, the biggest problem always where does mages with spell triggers - shadow door and a lot of protection spells.
... having to cast 2-4 spells just to remove those triggers always seems like a PITA to me, since that allowed them to get just as many spells through before I could start even doing damage to them.

 

Seems you have a problem when Viccy and Edwin are your only casters...

So does Keldorn go ballistic on Korgan too? Or does he just dislike goateed wizards that haven't filed their nails in months, and drow chicks?

 

No, Keldorn won't attack Korgan.
