first of all, if you don't have shadowkeeper, it's a program that lets you edit your saved game files and character files. very good, reccomend. http://www.mud-master.com/shadowkeeper

anyhoo, i've been with BG since the dawn of time, but it's only recent (2,3 years) that i've delved into the mods.

i downloaded the Tashia NPC mod and the Saerileth NPC mod in that order. the problem is, the Saerileth mod isn't compatible with Tashia's. it replaced Tashia's reference string with a Saerileth lovetalk sting. D:

being both lazy and not wanting to mess with redownloading, i opted for a new approach - i replaced the corrupt (Tashia string replaced with Saerileth lovetalk) with Aerie's string.

i gave up having Tashia as Tashia (elven sorcerer), instead having Tashia as Aerie. i.e. i'll have a elven sorcerer with Aerie's dialogs. so, i'll no longer see Tashia's dialogs, but have them replaced with Aerie's (and lovetalks!).

simply put, it's Tashia, with Aerie's personality.

imagine the possibilities if this works - minsc with valyger's dialogs/audio. anomen with keldorn's. aerie with viconia. minsc with jan's. no more losing out on interesting NPC dialogs because the NPCs themselves sucked or were (especially anomen) annoying!

    For the record, I <3 Anomen. ~_~
But it's an awesome idea. There are quite a few characters that are pretty much useless, but I want their plot. I like it.

You can't do it with Shadowkeeper, but it's possible with WeiDU if you really want to put the work into it.

Well, changing the usefullness of NPC's is still an option and can be down with Shadowkeeper.
Just change his/her class and kit and that's it..
Of course this doesn't help if npc is plain annoying like anomen, no amount of tinkering with shadowkeeper changes that I think
