The game will not install

    I just got Baldur's Gate 2 for Christmas and it won't install. On all three installation options, when the installation is 95% completed it asks me to insert disk1. After doing so and waiting for the disk to be read I get a message saying I've inserted the wrong disk. Well how can that be so since I had to insert disk 1 to initiate the process in the first place. I even tried browsing all of the files on disk to no avail.

    Keep trying. Many of us had problems with the install. It asked me for disk 5 the first time I installed.

    I did the full installation once, and after I had beaten Irenicus' cave and escaped into that Promenade-thing-a-ma-jigger, I decided, "That's enough for now," and quit. Later I tried to get back in, and it told me that I had to install before playing the game.

    huh

    So I had to reinstall the entire thing.

    I had the exact same problem. Just restart the computer and try to reinstall. It took me three tries but it worked in the end. Also how did you get it for christmas when its only the 13th????

    [​IMG] Thanks to everyone for their support. I changed the config.sys and the autoexec.bat files with notepad and it installed like a champ. Again thanks!
