I have cavalier, Aerie, Yoshimo (Imoen at chap. 4), Anomen and Valygar in my party. I'm looking for sixth person, but I don't have idea, which NPC I should take.

Nalia/Mazzy I think, if you get imoen later you my need a backup thief (Nalia) and you would get more spells. Mazzy is good for ranged attacks but those are the ones I'd choose

It depends, if you like to have a more battle orientated party you could add another tank to protect the weaker party members (Aerie and Imoen). I would suggest Minsc or Keldorn. That way you have a very strong party, with your cavalier, Valygar, Anomen, and e.g. Minsc at the front line.

You could also however take another thief. If you have your cavalier, Aerie, Imoen, Anomen and Valygar you lack thiefing abilities. Imoen can do some thiefing activities, but she isn't great. Jan Jansen could be very valuable to your team.

I'll take either Jan or Haer'dalis, because both of them can cast mage spells and use any item (by HLA). BTW, can I have romance with Aerie, if I have Haer'dalis in my party?

Remember that you don`t *have* to have a six person party- the less people you have, the more challenging, and fun, the game can be :)

At a certain stage in the romance, Haer'Dalis will actually challenge your character to a duel over Aerie!

Harkle you shouldn't be talking about HLA's in this forum.
A 4 person party won't really make the game more challenging than a 6 player party.
Although a 6 person party will give you more interaction

[IMG] Come chapter four, you won't have a character dedicated to ranged fighting. You can use Yoshimo now, but cavalier's can't and using any of the others for ranged fighting would really be wasting their talents. I would recommend Mazzy for her ranged abilities. She also has useful special abilities and can hold her own in a melee fight if she needs to.

You could also consider Jaheria or Cernd for the druid spells, though I think that you have quite enough cleric with Aeire and Anomen and more than enough fighting power.

A backup mage would be helpful. Haer'Dalis, Jan, or Nalia could fit this nicely.

Imoen and Aerie will make fine ranged support, if you need it. You really don't need a dedicated bowman to win the game.

It also seems that you choose NPCs that are either lawful good or neutral good. Mazzy, Nalia, and Keldorn are the only ones that fit this. Basically, figure out what part of your party needs backup. Keep in mind that you will get a backup (or primary) mage with Imoen.
Though you may want her to wear armour and use her more as a thief.

[IMG] I would assume Jan Jansen is the best bet. It seems as if your fighting power is ample and Keldorn would be a nice mix. he has...what laying on hands and true seeing. Both of which are very helpful. yet anomen should have enough cure spells along with aerie to control the team without having to use potions to heal your own team. Jan Jansen would be a great mix with his bruisers one of the best weapons in the game. Well arguably they are good but not amazing. Anywho you're going to need those 5,6 and 7th level mage spells that Jan has and aerie might not. yet they bopth level up at the same rate according to their mages since they are both dual-classed. But Jans stoneskin can throw him in the front of the battle line and is helpful in small areas to block the enmies so that aerie can use her spells along with anomen before the enemies have a chance to crash through the door or kill valygar or anomen if they are in their way.

I agree with Arathorn that Jan Jansen would be an exelent choice(lots of babbling). However he is multiclassed not dual as Arathorn stated. But when you get to imoen i advise you to kick yoshimo out, 'couse jan becomes great when he gets(forbitten word :aaa: )HLA-UAI :mommy:

    Gothmog4230,
When he gets Imoen, he won't have to kick Yoshimo out.
