    I think I've downloaded the patch and the cd bonus stuff but how do I get it / them to my game. I think I've found them on my file, well therres sometning when I look up bcs files but , but but...
    Downloadiung guide for dummies please.

    [​IMG] The official patch you just need to run and the rest will be done automatically, just follow the instructions. If you got that patch, that is... There are many others that can be downloaded off SP. You should get the exact filename for more specific info. As for the bonus merchants, this is written where you clicked the download link: "Once you download the zip, simply unpack both .bcs files to you Override directory and Voila!, the outlets to the extra items are there."

    The Override dir is in your BG2 install dir, usually in Program Files/Black Isle/BG2dir.

    I hope you know how to unzip the stuff... If not, get WinZip.

    [​IMG] i had the same prob with suzanathene. i have downloaded the extra merchant, unzip them to the override folder of my bg2. checked the existence of the files in the folder, re-start (even create new game) but the extra merchants never did came out. does the patch worked with any bg2 version? or do i need to install a certain patch first?

    Are you sure you're looking in the right place for the new merchants? One is in the Copper Coronet and the other is in the Adventurer's Mart IIRC. I had no problems when I used it.

    Thanks for the advice so far, but I'm afraid my ignorance is worse than you thought. what do you mean unpack, how from where then what. How do I get Winzip. If somebody tells me I can download it I'll cry
