This says something about the world we live in today. I hope the girl can cope with the psychological aftermath of these “challenges” now and in the future and that she reconsiders trying this again.

I suspect it was more simple than people are making it out to be: Reality turned out to be different from fantasy.
She thought going into it that it was something she wanted to do and would be fun, but at some point during the event it stopped being fun and started to be a chore or even started to hurt (I know some women sometimes complain about being too sore for another round or for sex again the next day.), but she decided to push herself to get through of it just to cross it off the bucket list instead of going through the embarrassment of calling it off since it had to be planned and orchestrated.

I doubt any of the psychological stuff is really what happened, I think it was just as simple as that. Considering that I fantasized about some things that turned out not to be quite as fun in reality as I thought, I suspect it's really that simple.
What straight teenage boy hasn't had fantasies about fucking multiple women? Why shouldn't a girl think along the same lines?

Well, she did get $10M+ out of it. Lots of people, men and women alike, will sink to plenty low depths at the prospect of landing that kind of haul.

It's still really flabbergasting when somebody follows through with something like that.

I still can't think it was worth THAT, and I wonder how she'll feel about it when she's older and chances are she'll have spent it all.

There have been porn stars that did the same but this is the first for a "regular woman" that I've heard

Like I said, it could be that she initially thought she'd enjoy it, but then didn't want to give up the ten million dollars. To me that's a lot of money, more than I'll ever see in my life.
I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of women would take up the offer to whore themselves out to 100 men in a single day for that kind of money, and I wouldn't be concerned about their psychology.
It's simple greed. The movie from the 1990's "Indecent Proposal" comes to mind for a less extreme version of it caused a lot of people to start talking about something similar, but far less extreme.
Heck, it wasn't even just the movie, it was just the commercials for the movie that posed the question "What if I offered you $1,000,000 for one night with your wife?" that got lots of people talking "Would you do it?".

That's the kind of fantasy that sounds better on paper than it is in reality. Plus $10M is $10M.
