Who is Terle and why is he stalking me in the Promenade?

Ever since I went to complete Keldorn's family quest at the inn at Waukeen's Promenade, I've been getting followed around by an archer in red clothing called Terle. He walks right toward my party, but does nothing but stands there when he reaches his destination. I try to talk to him, but he has nothing to say to me.

It looks like he's walking towards Anomen, but I can't be sure. Who is he? Should I be worried? I'm so paranoid that I might be tempted to kill him, but my PC is lawful good so that wouldn't make any sense.

This might, of course, be a glitch, one unique to mac-users, but I can't be sure. Has anyone had this problem?

 

Any mods installed?

 

I think this is related to Anomen's quest. This happens sometime after Anomen finds out about the death of his sister and before he is summoned to the Radient Heart headquaters.

Altough, in my case he was dreassed as a fighter and appeared in the Bridge District. This made more sence since it ment that he was there to make sure that Anomen did not take the law into his own hands.
It may be a part of UB, since I had not taken Anomen on my only time i played without that mod.

Dont worry about him. He is there for your protection.

 

All right. He did appear after the death of Anomen's sister and before the paladin ceremony, which confused me. So he's just there as some sort of pseudo-bodyguard

So, have you had another messenger come to Anomen and tell him about his sister's death?

 

I think that has already occured. Terle only appears after Anomen has found out about his sister's death and contacted the government official about it.
He stays till Anomen gets knighted.

 

It sounds like a messenger was sent to advance one ot your NPC quests.

This happened to me once when I didn't want to do Jan's quest yet. When I saw the messenger appear, I quickly fled and "changed the screen" so to speak. (I went from the temple district to the sewers.) The messenger followed, but no longer initiated the dialogue. Then he followed me around the whole time until I left the temple district. But everytime I re-enter the temple, he would start chasing me around again.

However the difference was when I finally found time to do the quest, I just talked to him and the usual thing happens. I'm not sure why in your case, he has nothing to say.

 

Terle is still around even after Anomen gets knighted, seems... I went and checked up on him...

 

Does he say anything when you talk to him?
