First question does any one know a way to prevent Keldorn from killing Viconia meanwhile having them at the same time in a party...and my second question, there are some empty potion bottles on one of the guys in the Guarded Compound (where you get the celestial Fury) What are they for, and are they a part of some other quest? Oh and third I heard that there are some books which gibve permanent stat boosts by one point, are these for real and available in the game or are they stuff only created by cheating?

Note: I did not want to create three different forums for each question...

I don't think there is anyway to avoid the conflict you are worried about normally in the game. It's just one of those things. however there is a patch available called 'Happy Group' or something that stops any in party fights. You can get it here from Sorcerer's at:
    http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index_editors.php

The bottles are generally useless though I think there was some rumour that they might have a a purpose in ToB (I don't believe it though). For more info, take alook at this earlier post:

As to the books, well yes and no. there were several tomes that boosted your stats in BG1 and these linger on in the game engine of BG2 (if you use infinity explorer). However, they are not supposed to be available when you play BG2. You could get them by using shadowkeeper or the console to create them in game. For details of using the console take a look here:
    http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/cheats.php

The codes you will need are:
Manual of Bodily Health (+1 con): BOOK03
Manual of Gainful Exercise (+1 str): BOOK04
Manual of Quickness of Action (+1 dex): BOOK05

etc etc all the way through to BOOK08 which improves wisdom.

ShadowKeeper can be downloaded from the same place as that first link I gave. have fun :)

[IMG] Book08; improve wisdom doesn't work in BG2, so doesn't the Book07, that improves charisma.

Hey, that's cheating ... these books, implemented in BG (and all my old chars from BG-1 got them ;) ), were not implemeted in BG-2 for they unballance the game (since you are cheating allready - just use shadowkeeper) - and I guess that is true: My actual (still human :D ) pally for BG-1 will have str-19/ dex-18/ con-19/ int-14/ wis-18/ chr-18 when facing poor Sarevok ... :)

if you export your Char at the end of BG2 and start again, you will have really high stats, so it kinda negates what ragusa just said.

As was mentioned in another topic (I'm to lazy to quote today) yesterday or so - this will result in your party facing stronger enemies throughout the whole game - some players might dislike that.

I believe the empty potion bottles can be used in the Planar Sphere by your apprentences to make potions for you.

    You're wrong.

    1. They are not needed for new potions from alchemist
    2. You get them on random occurences from that alchemist
