What class do you suit?

I am a great shot with a rifle so maybe an archer but I'm not much of an outdoorsman so maybe not. I love to sneak and tinker with small mechanical devices so maybe a thief but I'm 6'3 and 240 lbs which is kinda big to sneak so maybe not. I'm not too subtle and I wear my heart on my sleeve so maybe a straight-forward fighter.

I guess you couold say I'm an multi-class Archer/Thief dual-classed to a fighter. That should make me mediocre at everything and good at nothing. That suits me just fine.

P.S. I left out any magic user becasue I can't even spell Mordenkainen.

Science being the real-world equivalent of magic, the class that fits me best is a gnomish mage (perhaps multiclassed with cleric, if that's possible). My abilities are pretty much all mental.

I'd be some sort of fighter.

I used to fence, and studied archery, so that's a pretty good start...

I liked the way Spyrer the Drow came up with his stats. It would be cool if there were some tests that you could do that could determine your stats, similar to that allignment test. (the test said I'm neutral good) For instance, how much I can benchpress could help determine my strength rating...
The amount of time you've studied any weapons would also determine what proficiencies you could start with...

Is there anything like that? It'd be fun to see how well I would do in Faerun...

I would probably be some old mage trying to stop my familiar from smoking all my scrolls of ancient knowledge

I would be chaotic neutral. As for class, im not really sure. Some sort of stoner/druid multiclass.

i donno...i would be good at a thief...i always sneek around the house trying to find a book that im reeding and then go hide in the bathroom until i hear my parents sigh and do the chores for me and they dont even hear me tiptoeing around so im good in stealth. i also no how to open locked doors that dont require a like the superintendent keys of the sorts. but i would like to be an archer. im...uh...kinda good at the bow(dudette, dont take my pride!) but...sigh...im not strong but i have a keen eye that has potential. i think i would be chaotic good(dudette says so) too.

I suppose I would be most suitable as a Paladin. Healer and Fighter inspired by the cause of nobility and belief in bettering humanity.

    Ahh, yes...

[IMG] Although I play a paladin, I'm not one IRL...Maybe it's an ideal I would aspire to, but I don't think I could cut it in reality.

I think I would be better suited as a bard. I've always thought of myself as a jack of all trades kind of guy. Not excelling in anything, but pretty decent and well rounded in most things.

If I analize my alignment correctly I would fit to the role of the druid. I think I prefer balance in everything, also the animals don't fear me and I like them plus it can make me very angry if someone makes harm to nature. I was a green peace fan for years too.

And here I was thinking it was the A-bombs we dropped on Japan in 1945 that ended the war. Weird, apparently we had to wait around another four years to drop some hippies on someone. The things one learns on the internet...

Back to the topic. I suppose if I were dropped into a BGII kind of place, I'd fit in well as an archer. As a bowhunter, I make my own arrows and have pretty good stealth in the woods. I'm all the time spotting other hunters out there without being seen myself. My alignment (chaotic good, I'd imagine) works well with the class.

I'd be a bard, because I play about a dozen instruments. An I have that sort of bard-like charm about me. (or so I'm told) ;)

Bel the Bard???? Never saw that coming! The singing, pick-pocket lawyer!

IRL, I'd be dead in a medieval setting. Appendix ruptured when I was 9. Plus, I can't see the big "E" on they eye chart (very bad eys), so any career as an archer would be null & void!

All that aside: I'm best suited to the cleric class (didn't see that coming, did ya!) I usually play a paladin or a ranger (both fit my picture of the ideal hero).

That's easy. Dual classed fighter/magic-user with a neutral good alignment. I thought about that when I first started playing AD&D back in 1981. It has only changed slightly over the years.

AD&D was here in 1981?! i knew that it was old...but not THAT old. but anyways...i like thieves a lot! the most promising character.

Started playing around a big table at the local college rec center in these big "pipe smoking" chairs in 1980. G1-G3, Those two letters and two numbers definitely age me.

Oh, on the actual topic, definitely barbarian, my demolition skills in working on my house definitely show I would have a talent.
