When multiclassing, whats the differences in these? A multi class fighter can only get two stars in a proficience, just like a ranger. Both can use all armour, while the multiclass ranger gets all the ranger bonusses.

[IMG] Hmmm. Will a ranger/cleric recieve extra spell bonuses when he reaches that level when the ranger starts learning priest spells too?

I think I've seen on this board that people have their rangers dual-weilding?!? I can't seem to make that happen with my MC Ranger/Cleric.

    Am I missing something?

In IWD they didn't really include dual-weilding for rangers. Instead, if you give a ranger a one handed weapon without a shield they get an extra attack per round. This is supposed to simulate the effect of weilding two weapons.

Two weapons in both hands (no shield). You should see BG2 for particular effects on that.

One weapon in each hand. In old 2. edition, rangers were the only ones able to do this. BG2 uses a combination of 2./3. edition rules. (Or maybe it's just 2. edition, which has mutated!) ;)

On behalf of my numericals in the above, then I've forgotten how to do it in english.

Sorry if I am necro posting but actually in P&P second edition any warrior group class, thieves and I think maybe bards too can dual wield it's just wizard and priest group classes that can't dual wield in P&P (unless they are multi classed with classes that can dual wield iirc) but I think maybe that could be an update they made to the second edition rules and it used to be only rangers could dual wield

Warriors and rogues could all dual wield from the start of 2e D&D (rangers could avoid stock penalties). Later rules were updated and various other classes could depending on what rules you were using such as players option.

In addition as an odd finding rangers get the extra attack from dual wielding while using a two handed sword.
