I think Kagain is the best fighter. But Minsc is the funniest fighter.

In good or neutral party I kept Ajantis (took him in chapter 1).
Minsc is absolutely the funniest NPC.

 

Khalid worked very well in my good party.

Minsc is certainly the funniest of them all, but didn't kick a$$ the way Khalid did.

 

I too think Kagain is the best fighter, simply because what he can't hit, he can surely disract while other party members kill it in other ways. His 20con is the best! He never needs to be healed, and at the end, he's got a godly amount of hit points. Also, when he gets the Gauntlets of Ogre Strength, he's got 18/00, the best you can get! Ajentis for the good party because of protection from evil. Definetly a spell that comes in handy for the final battle. I've also found that casting Protection from Evil on Belt during Sarevok's Coronation buys some much needed time.

 

Kaigan is the best fighter, though I always thought Kahlid was useful ans I can't understand why people diss him so much.

 

If you only see to their fighting abilities, I'd say Khalid, Kagain and Shar-teel are on roughly the same level, with Khalid starting off the weakest, but also with the greatest potential.

Whoever voted for Minsc or Ajantis was obviously high on mushrooms at the time.

 

It is kind of funny that you can't vote for Kivan, but everybody knows he sucks (almost as much as Minsk).

 

I voted Shar-Teel, but it was a tough vote. I always play evil and Shar-Teel and Kagain are my usual tank pair. Shar-Teel always has better kills/exp but Kagain leads the way and always takes the punishment. Alone they are not that great, but together they are very effective.

 

That's the funny thing about Khalid, he's a complete wuss, but he kicks gluteous. I voted Ajantis, the guy's a good party power house and when I play evil I solo.

Minsc is far from the best. The fact that he can tear gnolls a new one doesn't mean he is any good any other times. If I could vote for Boo, I would have. Minsc is useless unless he has Boo.

 

I thought Khalid was pretty good, especially with *** on Bow. I still have never figured out how to get ***** on any one skill.

I normally have my main character as a fighter so i would probably say that is the best fighter as it is always made for exactly how i want to play.

 

I didn't applied Kivan, because I think that he is not a "fighter", he is more "an archer"...

 

I really don't like Khalid because of his low STR. He's pretty useless as far as THACO goes until you get the Guants of Ogre Str. I think the same about Ajentis, but with Protection from Evil, he really helps. I think Kivan is good as a fighter, though only once I've put him as such. He's much better with a bow, so he may as well stick with that. I think that Coran is the best archer of the game with his Advanced Specalization in Bows and his 20DEX. With the bracers of archery and the Composite Long Bow +1 or Long Bow of Marksmanship, he can really whomp ass. All his theiving skills are good, and he's usually fairly close to a level when you get him. I put all his new stats into find traps, then he's perfect
