[IMG] I have a F/M/T that im soloing with. I'm at the cloakwoods and I would like to know if I should buy or quest for any items before venturing farther. I've got 18/93s, 18d, 15c, 16i, 13w, 8ch along with a Long Sword +2, Med Shield +1, knave's Robe (with Full Plate for the larger melee fights.) and an Amulet of Protection +1. Should I buy the Cloak of the Good Archmage from High Hedge, or keep my 26,000gp's? Anything I should quest for before venturing furthur

    thanks, D.B.

If you're a mage, Robes of Archmagi are always good investments.

Other than that, a Bow of Marksmanship can be very useful sometimes...

But believe me, you could easily go on with the equipment you already have.

My T/M bought the robe of the good archmagi and the claw of Kazgaroth. It's a good protection against arrows or ankhegs.

Best inventory for the level of cloakwood forest, for a F/M/T:
    - Boot of Stealth
    - Robe of Achmagi (AC5)
    - Ring of Wizardy
    - Ring of Protection
    - Large Shiled+1
    - Defender (Drizzt's Scimitar +2AC +3THACO)
    - Bracer of Weapon Exp. (+1THACO)
Let's see an elf's AC with theese conditions:
    AC5-4(dex19)-2(sword)-2(shiled)-1(ring) = AC-4
    Not bad for a F/M/T...
At the cloakwood forest you can have:
    - Ring of Free action (i think)
    - Cloak of non detection
    - Boots of Speed
It is worth to upgrade with theese by the end of this chapter.
