    So, the wife and I were going to drive down to Virginia Beach for Christmas with the families. We heard there was a bit of snow on the way that night, 3-4 inches, so we decided to take some clothing down and spend the night. My brother-in-law is in town and my wife didn't want to risk being stuck up in Yorktown with snow while he was down in VB. 3-4 inches turned to 5-6 inches, then 10-12, and finally 14.5! We originally planned to go back Sunday, maybe Monday at the latest. We just got back today.

    First white Christmas I've seen in 16 years! I loved it! :D

    Glad you loved it, NOG. I came back from New York early because of the storm. We didn't have a White Christmas. It didn't snow until Monday. Originally we were to have 1 to 2 inches on Christmas. Forecast kept getting worse. We ended up with almost 2 feet of snow. A bit too much and only looks pretty until they start clearing it out.

    Here, all the snow melted over the weekend. Now, it's green grass but cold weather. Weird, I feel like in autumn all over again.
