[IMG] Another power playing party im thinking about rolling is one with only four members.

FIGHTER/DRUID: CLUBS & SCIMS (Club of Detonation and Spectral Brand)
KEN>THIEF: LONG SWORDS AND AXES ( Angurvadal+5 and Axe of Unyielding)
KEN>MAGE: STAVES ( Staff of the Ram+6 is ridiculous with Kai)
CLER>MAGE: SLINGS AND SHIELDS ( Sling of Everard & Darksteel Shield, Runehammer for Melee)

I'd love to hear any comments anyone has.

    Thanks guys :)

Even more in a four person party, with more experience to go around, you should ditch dual classing completely. HLA's from two character classes is much better than from one.

Well in that case what do you think of

    Half Elf FIGHTER/DRUID
    Elf FIGHTER/MAGE
    Half Orc FIGHTER/THIEF
    Half Elf CLERIC/MAGE

I would exploit the ranger/cleric multi-class over the fighter/druid. Gets you all of the cleric and druid spells anyway without that agonizingly long wait at around level 14 druid (drawing the level off memory, so sorry if I'm wrong on that, but there's a mammoth experience requirement around that level).

I generally avoid elves when I can do half-elves because of the stat max issue on con, so the fighter mage might be better as a half-elf.

Also, if this is a powergaming party, I'd ditch the cleric/mage for a sorcerer. With the rapid level ups available, that character will be hurling nukes quickly and benefits the most from single-class status.

I was thinking sorc, but I also really like getting off an insta-Heal thanks to the robe of vecna being on the cleric/mage. U reckon sorceror power outweighs utility of the cleric/mage?
Call Heal/Haste/Stoneskin in contingency. And he can also nuke pretty nicely, some devastating mix and match spell triggers going between both arcane and divine. Spell trigger 3 smite evils on some nefarious foes and watch em drop!

Also I'm having trouble playing the game on Windows 7. I'm running it in administrator mode and its still not working

Unless you are modding to increase the difficulty, I can't imagine you are going to need a contingency like you describe. Your call though. I find with smaller parties that I really don't want more than one character with cleric levels, as I find it a waste.

Official Patch, Baldurdash, Tactics, Ascension, Redemption, Tower of Deception, Ease of Use, & Dungeon Be Gone out of laziness.

So theres some pretty hard lil encounters in there

Also I went Sorceror, what do you think the stat priorities are. I read that because sorcerors get spells according to level, they dont need 18 INT or CHA.

So would that make priorities: 18 DEX
    16 CON
    18 WIS
And as close to 10 for STR, INT, and CHA.

    ??

Monk is really interesting. If you've already got a sorcerer, ranger/cleric and fighter/thief you really don't need anything else (those three will seriously handle anything) -- play something unusual for the fourth. Bard (especially Blade) is another good choice.

I would max strength over wisdom in the sorc. Nothing says that the guy casting the wish spell has to actually talk to anyone, that's what the R/C is for.

For a power party, stick with the F/M over a monk. You could take a blade instead, but I would say only if you have modded it to allow for higher level spells.

As long as you're doing all multi-classes (minus the sorcerer), you may as well have fun with the races, too. I would go:

Half-elf Ranger/Cleric (or Dwarf if you don't mind using Shadowkeeper)
    Halfling Fighter/Thief (or Half orc)
    Elf Sorcerer

4th slot can be whatever. I think T2's right, a bard could really shine in this party (I usually avoid them in BG2 with a full party, as they always seem to be my weak link). Monks are awesome, but in a party this small, he'd be too awesome. I think he'd ruin the fun for the second half of the game, just by womping so much ass. Ditto for the Barbarian, I think.
