I recently launced this game up again, and had a quick a question. Im using the Final Fantasy Tactics portraits and trying to create my characters matching those. Im going to use a party of five and this is what I have.

    Geomancer-Wild Elf Druid
    Dragoon-Aasimar Fighter/Cleric
    Dancer-Teifling rogue/bard
    Monk-Human Monk-broken order
    Samurai-? Fighter/?/?

I am having troiuble trying to think of a Samurai Build and what weapons to specialize. Bastard swords? Great Swords? and I was thinking of max dex and str. Anyways is there items to support this build or any mods?

Definitely maximize strength for your samurai both at creation and at level up. Great sword is the most effective kind of sword in the game. Don't overemphasize dex (but take at least 13 for the feats), magical full plate fits best.
Consider mixing in paladin levels. For covering the weakness in your party fighter1/diviner would fit better.

Thanks for the repsonse but a little late on the paladin levels. She is at 2 Fighter and 1 Barbarian and I don't think she has the alignment for it. I was thinking samurais are like controlled berserkers. Also I like to RP so I dont think plate is the right attire. Can I get dex bonus off mail armor like chainmail and splint? I guess I can start over considering I did not get the LoS mod. I just beat the wererat packs and orce in shangarne bridge.

Samurai are civilized and Lawful in the extreme -- barbarian really doesn't suit them at all. I would say Samurai are the ultimate pure fighter. For weapons available in the game you may want to check on Game Banshee.

Perhaps a Bard level would also be appropriate since Samurai wrote poems.

That makes sense..... Maybe Paladin would fit better..... If I just make a new character will she level as quick.... I dislike the Targos part.

A fighter/barbarian is a lot of fun -- play the character if your enjoying it.

I was thinking of a level of bard, wizard, or sorcerer, maybe something that uses wands because a Samurai in FFT uses sword abilities and I think that translates well into wands.

Samurai armor offered full body protection like european full plate, so lightweight or magical full plate fits best imho.
It you want the the unarmored stereotype consider taking 4 diviner or 6 sorcerer levels and buffing with mage armor or shield and mirror image spells to even out the lack of armor.
There are no wands or scrolls worth taking a single mage/bard/sorcerer level for the fighter/barbarian.
I'd take dirty fighting and improved critical, they look like some of the FFT sword abilities.
