EasyTutu - The game slows down, then speeds up

    Hello new guy here :)

    I installed EasyTutu and it was working fine, very nice mod. I have played to Chapter 4 now and there are no problems what so ever. Until now, I tried to install BG1-ease, make bigger stacks for arrows and such and after I did this the game looked to be running as normal, but sometimes in fights or just by walking the frame rate can drop down to normal 30 (I play at 38) and then suddenly after some seconds (1-60sec its diffrent every time) it goes back up to 38 again. I have uninstalled BG1-ease but the fram rate drop is still there. For me it sounds like some corrupt file is cousing this problem but im no high tech hacker genius. I have a good computer so thats not the problem :p

    Maybe someone has gotten this problem aswell, so please advise me what might cousing this.

    [​IMG] Could there be a program in the background using up system resources?

    I had fun earlier with a scheduled virus scan I'd forgotten while trying to play Knights of the Old Republic.

    Do you have mods installed? SCS particularly causes a lag upon entering a map, or when creatures with long scripts (mages in particular) are spawned but it does not last long.

    I always have a similiar problem with Easy TuTu, you can read about it here:

    Try turning ambient sound off from sound options (scroll its bar to the far left) and see if it fixes the problem. It did the trick for me in some areas. But now in my BGT game I never have this annoying problem.

    Tried the thing he was mentioning in that thread you posted. It didnt help for me :( I even turned of all the ambient sound in the config settings aswell but didnt work. Have reinstalled BG1, BG2 and EasyTutu and its still there :/

    Its abit annoying but I guess I can survive it.

    Hmm weird thing. Still, you may want to try BG Trilogy. I am using it right now instead of TuTu and, despite it was more difficult to install than Easy TuTu, works without problems and I am enjoying it! :)
