I like to 'roll' for ability scores instead of having a set # of points to use. Is there any way to modify ability scores using a mod or console or something so that I can manually roll ability scores and then change them in game to reflect my rolls?

You do know you don't HAVE to use ALL the ability points in the Character Generation screen, right?

Anyway, if you'd have looked in the Icewind Dale 2 Editors, Hacks, Trainers and Fixes page here at Sorcerer's Palace first, you'd have found a few programs that would help you change your stats. Personally, I recommend "Dale Keeper 2 by Aaron O'Neil".

thanks, that worked perfectly! I did browse that section, but it wasn't really clear whether any of the programs could change ability scores

I spent about 15 minutes trying to find IWD2 equivalent of ctrl+shift+8 from BG a while back :(

    Saved by DaleKeeper as well.

I thought he meant he wanted to roll his own stats to get higher scores, not that he wanted lower scores by not using all the ones they give youl. I hate point-buy type things as well.

What is CTRL+SHIFT+8 in BG? I never came across it.

[IMG] Ctrl+8 at character creation sets all stats to 18 so you can reduce stats you want to reasonable numbers to emmulate stats rolled or played with previously.
