Question about Protection From Evil 10' radius

    [​IMG] :confused: :confused: Well the good news is the party reached Umar Hills completed all the local quests, and killed Valygar in order to carry his body back to the Planar Sphere. And the suddenly one thought entered my head. The last time I fought the Demons Prot. from Evil 10' radius saved the patries tail. This time through however, I've got Edwin, Korgan, and Viconia in the party. What effect will this spell have??? I'd hate to get into the sphere and find out that I can't use this tactic.

    Anybody?????

    Protection from evil 10´ simply protects anyone in your party 10´away of the spellcaster from evil.
    I use it when I intend to summon demons and folk like that.

    The spell itself will take effect for those within the party, found within the desired radius. A neutral evil or chaotic evil party member will still gain from this spell. Party radius spells fall before anything else.

    Those party members effected, be it good aligned or evil, will still recieve the +2 bonus on saving throws while creatures attacking the party outside of the radius will recieve -2 to each attack roll.

    Mind you, I believe protection from evil will only stop demons that you summon, or demons that another mage summons in battle using such a spell, from attacking you. I don't think it prevents all demons from attacking the party. If a demon is just prestent in an area(read: not summoned, such as in the demomic plane or Sundanessellar), then I think they will still attack you regardless. However, you'll still get whatever saving throw and attack roll bonuses the spell confers.

    A little off, but 'smite evil' (3rd lvl priest spell) which Viconia knows, really goes down on all evil creatures, even herself. So at low levels its pretty suicidal for her to use it :eek: .

    [​IMG] Yeah, her continuous crying about whipping often got me as far as saying:
    "Just shut up and hand me the whip, darling" :D
