Why would you keep deleting my posts?

All i am offering is an alternative place for the many adventurers out there.

So again i offer my board as an alternative place to visit in the vast world of bg2.

Furthermore i invite you the board’s admins to visit and leave a link to this fine board in The Crossroads section of my board!

Furthermore i would be more then willing to add a banner from your board on my main page! I only wish to make a community of fellow adventures and invite any and all!

If you'd actually participate in posting messages other than plugs, then perhaps my views would be much different and of course, nicer.

Reminds me too much of the pirate BBS days where guys and their 2400 baud modems would get on a good system and just start posting their own BBS advertisements rather than getting to know the community already established or supporting it with uploads.

To me, by not participating (in fact, all 5 posts you've made have been plugs to your message board) makes it not worth my time to stop in and visit. It's poor advertising taste my good man and nothing personal.

I of course 'objectively' check out all kinds of things -including the link to the 'Talons' website. Sorcie and Syl, you don't have to be concerned...

I don't wish to 'blast' another website, so I'll just reiterate that 'you DONT have to be concerned'. Sorcerer's Place invests quite a bit into it's content,updates, depth and design and does a great job in every way!

-all you need to do now is find more rpg'ers that agree with my posts!

I thought the site was O.K. for posting. Doesn't look nearly as nice as the Sorcerer's forum, but not bad. Anyway, while I'm at it, I'll say it again. This site is the best BG2 site out there. Great walkthrough, great forum, wish there was an item list or a portrait bank, but I still spend most of my online RPG time here. Excellent job.

 

What's a portrait bank? Some place you can automatically upload your portraits to a large, viewable database for others to view? Give a little description of that portrait and it posts the uploader and character name of the original sender? A place were you can also download these portraits too? Much like a large, graphical FTP site of character portraits?

Why, Syl...do I detect a tiny bit of sarcasm or fecetiousnes?? A thin rapier instead of the hammer of thunderbolts??

Anyway, I totally agree that this is the best, no the ONLY, worthwhile site, especially the forum. When our favorite server was not quite up to par <ahem> recently, I checked a few other boards. The quality (or lack of..) was almost painful. In many cases, spelling and grammar was so bad as to be incoherent. I mean, everyone makes errors and typos occasionally, sometimes even intentionally, but when such things are so prevalent that the intent of the message is lost..well, that seems to defeat the whole purpose.

Sorry, didn't mean to get carried away, but I did want to let people know that the quality and level of dedication of this forum is noticed and GREATLY appreciated!! Keep up the good work!

That reminds me of this one post on the official NWN boards. There was this guy looking for a guild to join for when NWN is released, his post said how good he was and he posted his character from BG2 (to import into NWN). 25's in everything, 50% magical resistance, level 18 and he was ready to PK in a guild.

LOL. As if any DM of any server is going to allow characters like that on.

The official boards are full of those you just spoke of and sometimes it's bad enough that you can puke up your lunch all over the place.

Then there are other boards that people post just for the sake of posting so they can get a new ranking next to their name.

I just found out about this site a couple of days ago, being that I am pretty new to these types of games and all. However, I have been nothing but impressed with the way it is set up and how friendly and helpful most people are here.

 

Folks you have the wrong idea about my boards i am not looking to take anyone’s members i am just trying to start a board of my own. I will grant you this it is new and i am working very hard on it. In time i hope it gets to a point where it is a good as this forum here. Again if i have insulted anyone here i do apologize for that was not my intention at all. If you want to get a quality forum you need to go where the quality people hang out. I hope you can respect that and at least give me a look. if you can tell me what would make my site more appealing that’s great to. Again i am just trying to develop a community of my own.

Also to the admin of the Sorcerer's Place Forums please feel free to leave a link of banner for your site in the crossroads section of my board. I am sure some of the folks at my board will drop by.
