I have the urge to play BG1 all of a sudden and at the end of making my char I decided I wanted to have the IWD2 voice packs, the ones you get to pick from when your making your char(s) in IWD2... speaking of which. Does anyone know where I can get them or how I can get them from IWD2 and use them in BG1?

Anyway, I quickly found out about tutu so I went to the main site and found easytutu... and a -bunch- of various mods that looked really interesting... too many to be exact.

So I came here to ask which mods to install to give the game a better playing experince without putting in too much fan made content(like fan made NPCs and quests). As well as to ask how some mods were when/if you played with them installed.

One mod I was looking at was called "BG1 Unfinished Business" yay or nay?
Another is "BG1 NPC Project" or "BG1Banter" again, yay or nay?
Then the "BG2 Tweak Pack" from Gibberlings 3?

On the easytutu installation page it mentions "Hard Times" and "tutufix".
I was curious what people thought about "Hard Times", and I couldn't find anything about tutufix so I was wondering what it entails(if someone could point me to a list of said fixs that would be great o-o) and where you get it.

Sorry for asking a lot of questions but... to be honest Iv never played BG1 or BG2 all the way through(Though I beat the crap outta IWD2) and found out that I could make my gaming experince better, I want to get the most I can out of it :)

Again, sorry for asking all these questions and thanks in advanced for anyone willing to read it all and for answering any or all questions ^^

There's a program called "Icewind Dale Voice Pack Converter by Greystar" in the Games section of SP. You'll need to have IWD1 or IWD2 and BG2 installed, but the converted soundsets will work in BG1 as well.

BG1NPC project is IMO excellent, but it has a LOT of custom content: banters and some minor quests. No custom NPCs, though. The content blends quite well to the game, but if you prefer IWD-type silent NPCs, you might not like it.

I don't mind banter, makes the chars more enjoyable :p
It did say there would be quests that involve the chars which is fine, it adds a lil bit more depth to them :3

I should have looked there, thanks :D

BG1 NPC mod is excellent and a must to have! Download its music part too so some sweet (or scary, depenging on NPC) back ground music will play when NPC chats with you.

Latest Easy TuTu has the most fixes, TuTu fix balances the summoning spells and Totemist's summons so that they are not overpowered for BG1. It also restores BG1 loading screens (cool!) and hooded avatars for unarmored thieves/bards (it is not cool as any non-mage without armor will have a hood now since they all use same basic avatar)

Hard Times sure makes the game harder and more realistic, you actually feel the pressure of economical crisisi plaguing the Sword Coast. I reccomend it if you don't find added difficulty and not being able to get your favourite powerful items as easily as before.

BG2 tweaks is nice, it has so many seperate components you need to choose for yourself.

There is also Sword Coast Strategems which makes the game harder by upgrading enemy's AI noticably and makes for a new challenging game. It is aimed for rather experienced players but it is VERY customisable, is modular so you can choose which component to add. If you install all components your game will be very challenging (but still doable I have done so) if you install few select components which suits your own tastes it might be an enjoyful diversion.

Stone of Askavar and Grey Clan Part1 are both solid long quest mods which are implemented into the original game seamlessly. You might try them but they are very difficult!
