After I rec'd and accepted Hendak's Quest, I went to the de'Arnise Hold w/o doing Hendak's Quest. After completing the quest I de'Arnise I returned to complete Hendak's Quest. After completing Hendak's Quest I retuned to the Copper Coronet to find Hendak and I can't find him. Did I mess up by going to de'Arnise first?

I am totally new to this stuff and find it very confusing. I appreciate your patience

Hmmm... Hendak's quest was to get rid of the slavers by going to their place through the sewers under the Copper Coronet right?

When I completed that, Hendak was in the same place in the CC as he was before.

There are very few quests that have to be done at a certain time or order, so I doubt that was the problem; perhaps it was some other kind of bug...

First I did the Beastmaster Quest and I accepted Hendak's next quest (clear the Slavers Ship. Before I this quest though, I went to de'Arnise Hold and completed the quest there. I returned to the Slums; did the quest at the Slavers Ship, but, I can't locate Hendak at the Copper Coronet.

I've seen him all over in the Coronet in different games. Check the hall way leading to the gladiator prison cells (seen him there 2 or 3 times), or up with the hookers... (where would you be if you'd been penned up for years?)

I'm sure when I did this quest he was hanging around at the bar inside the pub near where Jaheira 'big boned' bar keeper is. I think he dissapered after I had debriefed him about completing the mission though. (I'm not in the city at the moment and I can't get back to check). Try speaking to the barman instead to see if he knows where he is (clutching at straws a bit I know).

Don't worry about being inexperienced. Evryone here seems very friendly and helpful. I looked at a few other forums and this seems to be the best informed and most easy going - saying that I'd better shut up in case I get smited for creeping...........

Does your journal still show the mission as uncompleted? If not then it probably doesn't matter about reporting back to him.

Hendak, that slave scum, isn't worth your time. Turn him in when he asks you to release him, and watch him die! Then whenever you need to find him, just look for his grave...

    I love evil campaigns... :D

Actually you can do both. I tried it this time through and it worked. You can turn him in to the Slave Master, whatever his name was, get a reward for it (plate +1?), then go tell Hendek you were doing it just to juke the slave man. Release him, and get a reward from him too!

I found him back near the cell he was imprisoned in. Never thought he would be back there. Expected he would be out front.

Thanks to everyone who helped. Thus far, I am really enjoying the game.

A thing I noticed when I was doing the hendak-quest (just like some other ecounters) was that you have to follow hendak to the slaver in the CC (forgot his name) wher you can watch him fighting.

When you don´t it can take quite a long time to wait till he appears - if you go ahead hasted for example. Whenever I escort him beeing in sight it works flawless. Weird.
