It may sound really lame, but a portal to and from work would give me an extra 2 hours in the day to do whatever I liked.

Or perhaps a portal between the UK (where I live) and South Africa (my home country).

If you did that, the entire ocean would start shooting out of the portal near the guy you didn't like. You would probably want to move the bottom of the sea one before you flood the area. : P

I imagine a lot of people would use it to preform autofellatio. :shake:

If I could recharge it, I could use it to solve my transportation problems--Hopefully cheaper and more eco-friendly than with a car!

I'd have one stationed permanently at the top of a tall building or mountain overlooking the city and use the other to get up there, and then reposition it to my street/uni/work when I need to get there. Setting it up between two major cities and charging for admission could also be quite profitable.

I'd use it to nullify the distance and bring someone in perticular close to me.

I can also think of some nefarious and illegal stuff I'd do with the thing,

Yeah, but let's not forget the mandatory pit stop to the hardware store to bring some weapons to the show - a CZW show without weapons just isn't the same.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, while I was in NY, I took a look at the map of the territory desserved by the NYC train transits, and there was a train which headed to Philly. To further add to the temptation, this was the day of the Tangled Web show.......

Just wondering if anyone remembers GLaDOS's warnings about the use of the portal gun. Could save your life ;)
