I would like to try solo the game.. any fun options? Not too easy and not too hard =) What about fighter/thief or fighter/mage or mage/cleric. Dualclassing?

A Blade is a lot of fun actually.

All solo games start out hard, but then become ridiculously easy (especially when HLA's kick in). Any class can solo. So really, especially if it's your first time, just pick out the type of character you enjoy playing and have at it.

Two excellent options are the fighter/mage/thief and the ranger/cleric.

I chose the gnome cleric/thief for my first solo. It was a lot of fun.

    hi

ok thx =) Actually my party consists of a swashbuckler and a blade (cheated and made Nalia a blade), plus viconia, edwin. I would like to try something else. I like magic but would like to try the fighter feats as well. Should I dualclass? and what lvl???

I don't really like soloing anyway. It seems to me you're just missing out lots of on dialogue and banter.

Personally I like a Blade for soloing - Jack-of-all-trades that is a lot of fun.

But as T2 says, you can solo anything (at least in an un-modded game).

Pick a class you think you'd enjoy, and have fun! :)

I went good old dualclassed fighter/mage from the start last one. However, it becomes sooo easy. I was thinking of soloing a shapeshifter, but I just installed a ****load of mods so I dont think that would be a good idea.

Try soloing a specialist mage, necromancer or something.

    There are a couple of rules regarding soloing ;

    1. Dont use the fighter/mage/thief - too easy.
    2. Dont use the fighter/mage - too easy.
    3. Dont use berserker/cleric - too easy.
    4. Dont use kensai/whatever - too easy.

I'd recommend an undead hunter or something just for being cool.

I always thought a Wizard Slayer > Thief would be an awesome soloist.

It is. Once you get the UAI it's ridiculously easy, and alot of mages spells won't hit you. Couple that w/ dual-wielding weapons that add attacks and you should make mincemeat of anything magic-wielding that comes your way. Great fun though :)
