    [IMG] Hello again! This is pretty much like the other post I made in the BG forum. Basically, you can post things that happened in BGII that you could never figure out. Me for one, even with walkthrough and guides galore still couldn't figure out what was going on in some parts of the game!

    (1) Somewhere in the Government District, there's a house that has a door on the far left side and when you try to open it, it says "cannot open, door barred from the other side" or whatever. Now this REALLY annoys me! Does anyone know what lies beyond? Sorry bout not knowing the exact location of the mansion, but I just started a new game so it shouldn't be long ...

    (2) Pretty much like the last one, there's a house somewhere in the Government District (I THINK) that has an un-openable chest. And I get really frustrated when it becomes impossible to open it! Can anyone use their great wisdom to help me out here!

    (3) Regarding Renal Bloodscalp, when you finish the Maevar Quest, you get a large reward AND then a little extra. Normally, he'll just give you the Short Sword of Backstabbing, but if you're a thief he'll offer you Maevar's Guild. If you take the new offer, you then WON'T get the +3 sword, which is what I want as well! Only thing is, it's IMPOSSIBLE to pick his pocket! I could've sworn I chugged like 10 potions of master thievery and still nothing :cry: Is there anyway to get back my beloved sword (and the new guild of course) without cheating?

    (4) Umm, i think this has been brought up before, but I'll just add it in case. In the Shadow Thief Stronghold (Linvail's), when you get to the top left of the screen, where those planks of wood are, you'll see a couple of thieves that are suspended atop a ledge way higher than you're characters' position, but it's quite impossible to approach them! Do they serve any special purpose of are they just there for the sake of it?

    3) Hell yeah ! I've noticed that as well. I did use Shadowkeeper, because I thought it was a very rare bug.
    If you have Throne of Bhaal, you can buy a +4 sword, just outside the Watcher's Keep, but I assume you don't.

    1) There are two possibilities. That's either Isea's house, which you'll be able to enter in the course of solving Nalia's storyline. Or it's the house of some guy how Bodhi wants dead. You'll only get that quest if you go to Bodhi for help to get to Brynnlaw in stead of the Shadow Thieves, naturally.

    2) Don't know about this.

    3) I got this bug a few times too. I usually solved it by either SKing the sword into my possession, or just forgot about it. But I think it's possible to refuse the Stronghold at first, then come back later and still claim it. Not too sure about that, though.

    4) What Blast Skeleton said.

    hmm... this thread reminds me of something...

    In the docks, there's a house outside the top floor of Maevar's Guild that I can never loot fully, because there are people inside who catch you. During the day, they walk around; during the night they sleep but still catch you. Not that you get anything good, but has anyone found a way to loot the place?

    1) Door 1009. Yep, it's Isaea's house.

    2) Found it. :D AR1006, Container 2. Has a "Miscast Magic" trap on it that's easily disarmable (30 or more in FT), but it's locked at 100, making it impossible to open. Inside is just a Potion of Extra Healing, so you're not missing much.

    @Blog:
    Charmed or unconscious people never notice you loot. I'm just sayin'. :angel:

    On this note- anyone know what Belle in the Five Flagons is there for? I get the feeling it should be possible to at least talk to her.

    Try it with Mazzy, Valygar, or Viconia in your party. Belle has some one-liners with them (only half the time, so you may have to talk to her more than once to get it to trigger), and Valygar in particular can cause a brief bit of conversation. Aside from those, she doesn't seem to want to talk.

    I thought the barred door was part of the Delryn estate. I had this question before myself.

    @kuemper:
    There's apparently more than one barred door in the Government district. $ilvershield asked about one in the upper left of the area, while the Delryn estate is middle right.

    To answer some of your questions from my experiences....

    1. Thieves guild quest. I have got the sword and have been awarded Maevar's Guild BOTH...

    2. The barred door which you are speaking of (and you most likely had to ctrl-J'd there) or had to go through the Garrison is exactly that, part of the Garrison

    3. The barred door in the Temple district is part of Korgan's book of Kazaa quest

    4. The thieves in Aran Linvails lair are not really that important, unless you've sided with Bodhi, and you have to go take out the entire guild, then hit ctrl - J on the catwalk your entire party will be teleported there and you can kill them

    Thanks guys, I finally know what these things meant because they were KILLING ME! I hate thoses chests that are set at 100 which you can't open because I always think there's a bug presesnt, just like that container in BG!

    Also, what are people talking about some other locked door concerning the Book of Kaza quest, because we already solved what I was talking about (Thankyou Fel!) and I never remember an unopenable door in the Temple District???

    Now, I'd like to add another one to the list,

    (1) I remember when I was attacking the Slaver Compound Leaders (or whatever they call themselves) that when you approached the stairs a Djinni would appear. Usually it would be quite easy to kill him, but sometimes he just wouldn't die! It would be like a vampire, because he would go into gaseous form but then after a few seconds he would appear to be fully regenerated! The only way I could defeat him was to inflict ALOT of damage to him at once, but this shouldn't be occuring normally. I'm pretty sure this is a bug yeh?

    Right near the upper right exit from the district; I believe it's marked on your map as the Pimlico Estate or something similar. I never have any reason to go that way either unless I'm doing Korgan's quest, so I can see how you could miss it.
    Actually, that's normal. Djinn can do the gaseous form thing when they're low on HP, and they get healed when they do it. Though it does seem like the one in the Guarded compound does it a bit more than others.

    Oh, I always thought you could go in there anyways, because I only went in there when I did the Book of Kaza quest too! Well that's that done!

    Yes! I always thought that because I remember one of them doing it near the Elven City, I think, but it just really annoyed me how it kept healing itself over and over!
