Well as the subject says just post your opinions on the game. Personally I'm in love with this game. The story is average, the game kinda linear but the graphics and the fun factor are excellent! There's nothing better than whacking the crap out of hundreds of demons with all those ultra cool moves you can do (sword and gun combinations and of course the devil trigger, I oh so love it!) And PLUS the new character! BLOODY AWESOME! It's hack and slash with style! :D Can't wait 'till June 4... I'm getting a copy of my own!!!! :D

Terrible story, med-core graphics lame and simplistic game play, far too easy and two characters for no reason what so ever plus having to discs was a cheap marketing scam... A disgrace to the DMC series that should have never come into being a 3/10 at best, very disappointing considering the first was such a great piece of work, Damn you capcom!!!!

The gunplay is horrific compared to the first, and the sword combos feel forced why did Dante turn into a slow ass puss all of a sudden rather than being the Bad-ass daemon slayer that he was in the first?

Devil trigger is also a big disappointment, why do you only have one type of shot DT mode? If I recall in the first you could shoot grenades and shotguns ETC in DT, but no more in DMC2...

The bosses are VERY VERY VERY easy it took me less than a week to beat the game on Dante and Lucia must dies modes, in the first game it took me a week just to beat Phantom 3 on DMD, why did capcom make this game so easy? Was it because of all the Teen gamers with no skill complaining? Yes! Come on people we need a challenge not a cake walk...

And three swords? Whippety do, their all the same! Where are my infirt gloves or sparda sword with eloquent and flowing combos? Not in DMC2 obviously, the guns have more variety in DMC2 but they don't have near the cool factor, so what if you have a missile launcher it's still gives you no where near the rush of dodging blows and firing grenades at Mundas...

the plot of DMC2 is about equal to a poor quality, hame-filmed, Uzbekistanian porno film. Now imagine, through some clerical error, someone has put Act 3 where Act 1 should be, and vice versa. No imagine they got deaf, illiterate monkeys to act it out. Now imagine you're watching it backwards, on a broken TV, with no sound

DMC 1 is truly tough and has much, much deeper gameplay compared to DMC 2. Still, storywise both games suck badly save for the coolness factor of being able to play a half-demonic guy/girl who's a total badass.

DMC 2, I feel, focuses too much on style and flashy action whereas DMC 1 is more about gameplay. IMO, DMC 1 is the better overall game, though DMC 2 is a pleasant diversion to say the least.

Lucia and Trish: Dante's one lucky sod, I say. ;)

DMC1 was the coolest game of the year, DMC2 was the easiest game of the year. Never before have I seen such an easy game! I mean, with auto-aim you never miss, enemies are extremely easy and stupid, and the story really sucks! A real pity...

I never approached DMC as having a strong story-line ever since the word "Milleniums" arose in the intro of DMC1, so I disregard it as a deciding factor of play.

The first game was an inspirational action game that enabled a person who had played it for 30 minutes to feel cool just by pressing a few buttons in the right way, and while very unforgiving to newcomers with no easy mode at the start, it is a little harsh to overcome until you start buying some of the better abilities. Once you've established your way of playing, it gives an enjoyable performance right the way through until the airplane bit at the end :jawdrop:

DMC2 was nothing in comparison to it's predecessor, NOTHING. It didn't have the Dante we know in it, he was too sluggish and annoying to use. It gives us a new character who is remarkably more like the original Dante in terms of how you'd expect him to move, only she doesn't have much background either. This game left a bitter taste in my mouth and I'm just happy I rented before I bought

    As said.
DMC 1 is awesome. Bought my PS2 2 weeks ago, came home, sat down 6 hours later DMC was completed. Started playing DMC 2 but didn´t really get hooked. Started with the "girl disc". Dunno if that was smart or not, but well... it´s a pretty okay game, graphics owns and yeah, you can do cool moves. But thats it...
