[IMG] I have a problem, If i hit one time, i never hit the next strike i make. I turned "show hit rolls" on, and there wasnt even a hit roll on the second strike.
This has not anything to do with low thaco or hig ac of the target, i NEVER make two hits in a row. (unless i change target)

I remember reading in the Icewind Dale manual that some swings you see the characters make are not actual attacks but are there to represent the "thrusts and parries" of normal combat. If they kept that feature in BG2, this could be what you're seeing.

[IMG] Bowie is correct in his assumption. This is a feature of BG 2.

You can really notice this effect when using a staff. That's when I first noticed it and went "what the...?". I'd rather it look good though, and you can always check the script to see if there was a hit.

The biggest fun is to watch a Ranger/Cleric dualwielding "blunt instruments ferociously" ( :D Ragusa) and equipped with the boots of speed.

This char has a swing twice every second and you only get 4 attacks per round. Bah!

I only noticed the parrying in IWD when everytime I would miss I'd hear a "ping!" or a "ching!" sound. The sound of steel against steel. ;)
